Jasionka airport checks in the millionth passenger in 2024

- The millionth passenger at our airport is becoming a very pleasant tradition, which, on the one hand, is the result of great interest and use of our offer by passengers, and on the other, an ambitious commitment to the further development of the network of connections. This will be another record-breaking year for us, in which we are counting on more than 1.1 million people being served at our airport. In 2025, we are planning not only further destinations from Rzeszów, but also a number of investments that will improve the comfort of travel for our passengers, including the modernisation of the security checkpoint - says Bartosz Górski, vice-president of the management board of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Family Ulm Airport.
 

The millionth passenger in 2024 arrived in Jasionka on Monday afternoon from Riga, a new connection offered by the Latvian national airline, Air Baltic. Łukasz Drabicki from Rzeszów was very surprised when - stepping off the Airbus A220-300 aircraft together with his wife Karolina and 4-year-old son Jacek - he found out about such a pleasant surprise.
 

- We really enjoy travelling from Jasionka, because it is a compact airport offering more and more connections. On business, I often fly from here to Munich, and since we have a child we choose charters from Rzeszów for holidays, so as not to waste time commuting. We were in Riga for a long weekend and were pleasantly surprised by this picturesque city and nearby Jurmala, where we went to the Baltic Sea - admits a jubilee passenger.
 

Ryanair passengers accounted for the largest share of another record 2024 (31 per cent of the total), followed by charters (29 per cent), LOT (20 per cent) and Wizz Air and Lufthansa (4 per cent each). The most popular destinations were Warsaw, London and Antalya.
