The Hungarian airline has changed its mind and will not withdraw completely from Glasgow Airport. Wizz Air will cancel its existing route, but will launch two new ones.
At the end of June, we reported that Wizz Air was cancelling flights to Glasgow and withdrawing from the Scottish market. The only route operated by the Hungarian carrier from this airport, i.e. from Glasgow to Budapest, was to be discontinued. And yes, Wizz Air is cancelling the route to Budapest, but it will not be leaving Glasgow and will launch two new routes from there: to Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Malpensa. Both routes will be inaugurated on 27 October with a frequency of three flights a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
