Sri Lanka eases entry rules for Polish citizens.
Starting October 1, travelers to Sri Lanka from Poland, as well as 34 other countries, will be able to enjoy a new convenience - entry to the island without having to arrange and pay for a visa in advance.
The decision is part of a new program by the Sri Lankan government. It aims to significantly increase the number of foreign tourists visiting the country.

The pilot program will last for six months, starting October 1, during which Polish citizens will be able to take advantage of this facilitated procedure. Upon arrival, tourists will receive a special free visa, which will be valid for 30 days.
Sri Lankan authorities hope the new arrangement will attract more visitors, helping to boost the local tourism economy. The goal for this year is to welcome 2.3 million tourists.
