Good news for travelers from Podkarpacie. Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport plans to lift restrictions on liquids in carry-on luggage. The changes are set to take effect in the fall of 2026, after the installation and certification of modern security scanners.
The 100 ml limit on liquids in hand luggage, which has been in force for years, may soon become history at Rzeszow Airport. A year and a half ago, the airport announced the purchase of modern CT scanners, which allow for more accurate baggage screening without the need to remove liquids and electronics.
The order includes the delivery and installation of three CT scanners. This technology is already in use at selected European airports, significantly improving security checks and increasing passenger comfort.
According to the plan, the installation and certification of the new devices should be completed in the fall of 2026. It is then that the long-awaited lifting of the 100 ml limit on liquids in hand luggage will become possible.
For travelers, this means less stress during security checks and more freedom when packing – without the need to transfer cosmetics into small containers or buy miniature versions of products.
