Islands such as Phu Quoc or the quieter Ninh Binh are ideal for relaxation, and for adventure, it is worth staying along the Ha Giang motorcycle loop. If you plan to visit all of Vietnam, you will of course stay in each of these places. What then? What kind of accommodation is best to choose?

Personally, I recommend staying in budget hotels and highly rated hostels. Budget accommodations are often of a really good standard, have all the amenities and free breakfast, and in hostels you can meet other travelers, make new friends, and have an unforgettable time in an international group. And if you feel like a little luxury, the best hotels in Vietnam are really cheap, and a 5-star hotel in Vietnam by the sea sometimes costs the same as a 2-star hotel in Europe.
