Travel enthusiasts from Gdansk have reason to celebrate – Wizz Air has announced the launch of two new routes. From the end of October, we will be able to fly to the bustling capital of Spain and sunny Sicily.
With the start of the winter season on October 28, 2025, Hungarian carrier Wizz Air will launch direct flights from Gdansk Airport to Madrid and Catania. This is great news for those planning autumn city breaks as well as for sun lovers looking to escape the colder weather in Poland.
The new connections will operate three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Passengers from Gdansk will be able to fly to both Madrid and Catania on the same schedule, which gives them great flexibility when planning their trips.
With these new routes, Wizz Air continues its expansion into southern Europe and strengthens its position in Gdansk. Madrid is one of the most popular destinations in Spain, while Catania, located at the foot of Mount Etna, delights visitors with its monuments, cuisine, and access to picturesque beaches.
