Poland has been recognised as the best country in the world for women travelling alone. The ranking, compiled by Wethrift, took into account factors such as safety, affordability and the availability of tourist attractions. Our country scored an impressive 99.59 points out of a possible 100.
The ranking analysed 30 countries previously classified as the safest for women, according to data from the Women, Peace and Security Index. Poland came out on top, ahead of Lithuania and Slovakia, which also made it onto the podium.
The key criterion was the assessment of the level of safety, which in Poland's case was rated as very high – this is one of the most important factors for women deciding to travel alone.
Wethrift experts also took into account travel costs, including average prices for accommodation, food and public transport, as well as the availability of tourist attractions.
Poland proved to be an exceptionally favourable destination in terms of value for money. Female tourists can count on a wide range of comfortable and inexpensive accommodation and a rich culinary offer.
