On 6 May 2026, LOT Polish Airlines will launch a direct route from Warsaw to San Francisco. The new connection from Chopin Airport will operate four times a week.

This morning (Thursday, 13 November 2025), LOT Polish Airlines announced a new addition to its flight network in the United States. LOT will fly from Warsaw to San Francisco. Flights from Chopin Airport to the western United States will commence on 6 May 2026 and will operate four times a week: on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. A one-way flight from the Polish capital to San Francisco will take approximately 11 hours and 35 minutes. The connection will be operated by LOT Dreamliners. This will be the second attempt to introduce a direct connection from Poland to San Francisco. LOT was supposed to fly this route from 2020, but the outbreak of the pandemic thwarted the plans of the Polish national airline. San Francisco will be LOT's sixth destination in the US, after New York (JFK and Newark), Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles.

"Transatlantic connections are of strategic importance for the operations of LOT Polish Airlines. Over the past 12 months, 800,000 passengers have travelled on all LOT flights between Poland and the United States. The new route will not only connect the heart of Europe with the global centre of technology and innovation, but will also open up new opportunities for both business and leisure travellers. San Francisco, along with neighbouring Silicon Valley, is the birthplace of many global brands and a place that continues to attract entrepreneurs and investors from around the world. It is also a city with a unique character, rich in culture, history and a unique atmosphere, which has enjoyed unflagging popularity among tourists for years. We are delighted to strengthen our offer with another direct connection to the west coast of the USA and invite travellers to join us on our flights," said Robert Ludera, proxy and director of the LOT Network Office.
