Łódź has been named by the British travel section of The Independent as one of the most beautiful places in 2024. The city came fifth in a list of 14 locations that particularly impressed the editors.
The list compiled by The Independent ‘s journalists included the unique places that most impressed the authors of the ranking in 2024. Łódź was ranked fifth, ahead of many other popular destinations. The British editors highlighted the city's charm, especially its impressively long main street, surrounded by beautiful historic buildings.
One of the buildings that wowed the journalists was the Grand Hotel - restored with exceptional attention to detail. One editor of The Independent described it as ‘probably the best hotel I've stayed in this year’. He also highlighted the attractiveness of the prices in Poland, pointing out that a luxury room for two people can be booked for as little as around £130.
The authors of the list pointed out that Poland, including Lodz, offers exceptional value for money, making it even more attractive to tourists. The combination of rich history, beautiful architecture and affordable prices makes Łódź an increasingly popular destination, also among tourists from abroad.
