According to Gulf News, Kuwait has decided to introduce a new electronic visa system. The e-visa will be available in four types: tourist, family, business, and official.
The new e-visa system in Kuwait is intended to simplify the border crossing procedure for tourists, business travelers, and official visitors. What is more, the clear e-visa system and quick processing time are expected to increase Kuwait's attractiveness as a tourist destination. How much does a tourist visa to Kuwait cost and how long can you stay in the country? A tourist e-visa to Kuwait costs 3 Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 8.5 EUR), entitles you to stay and vacation in Kuwait for up to 90 days, and can be purchased at kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw/. To obtain an e-visa, you will need: a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel, a current passport photo, airline tickets to and from Kuwait, and confirmation of accommodation in a hotel or private apartment. The visa application process can take up to 2 days, although it is usually issued within a few minutes.
