After a week without any flight operations, the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority revoked the operating license of Albania's national airline, Air Albania.
We are most likely witnessing the collapse of Albania's national airline. Air Albania has not operated any flights since December 7, yet tickets for flights in the coming year, for example, can still be purchased on the carrier's website. As a result of its operational inactivity, the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority has revoked Air Albania's license for an indefinite period, which, combined with financial problems and Turkish Airlines' withdrawal from supporting Albania's national airline, effectively means the collapse of Air Albania. According to aviation industry experts, the future existence of Air Albania is highly doubtful.
