Ryanair introduces a €500 fine for disruptive passengers

Ryanair is tightening its rules. Any passenger who is removed from the aircraft by security will be charged a €500 fine. The change is effective immediately and is the carrier's response to a wave of incidents involving aggressive passengers.
The new regulations have been officially included in Ryanair's terms and conditions. According to these regulations, any passenger who is removed from the aircraft by security services, regardless of the location and reason, will automatically be charged a fee of €500. This applies primarily to persons whose behaviour poses a threat to other passengers or crew members.
The penalty will be charged automatically. The carrier has announced that the funds will be collected from payment cards, accounts or vouchers assigned to the passenger in question. In addition, those penalised may be temporarily banned from flying with Ryanair.
The new policy is a direct response to the growing number of incidents involving passengers – mainly drunk and aggressive individuals who disrupt flights, often forcing pilots to make emergency landings. The airline hopes that severe financial consequences will effectively deter those planning to cause disorder.
