The Emirates' new attraction, the Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum, will open its doors to visitors on November 22, 2025. The facility is being built on Saadiyat Island and promises to be one of the most spectacular natural history museums in the world.
The new museum will display some of the rarest natural specimens from millions of years ago, including the famous “Stan” – a 67-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, which is one of the best-preserved and most complete specimens of this species. It is a real treat for lovers of paleontology and Earth's history.
The museum's galleries will take visitors on a fascinating journey from the formation of the Earth, through successive geological eras, to the present day. What's more, the exhibition will not stop at the past – special sections will be devoted to visions of the future of our planet, with an emphasis on sustainable development and space exploration.
The Natural History Museum on Saadiyat Island aims to become one of the key cultural attractions of the Emirates, alongside places such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Guggenheim Museum. The opening, scheduled for November 22, 2025, will attract tourists, scientists, and nature enthusiasts from around the world.
