Jumbo Stay Hotel, a hotel facility designed to look like the inside of a Boeing 747, has gone bankrupt. Reservations for the unique accommodation near Arlanda Airport in Stockholm have been cancelled.
A great loss for all aviation fans – the famous Jumbo Stay hotel, located in the fuselage of a decommissioned Boeing 747, was forced to file for bankruptcy. The aircraft was parked next to Arlanda Airport in Stockholm and was a landmark of the airport as well as a unique accommodation for aviation fans in the Swedish capital. All reservations made in advance had to be cancelled. Travellers will never again be able to enjoy the view of the airport runway from the beds of Boeing 747s. The pandemic and financial losses caused by hotel competition around Arlanda Airport were the final straw.
