Italian ski resorts are starting the new season with an important change – from now on, everyone, regardless of age, must wear a helmet.
With the opening of new winter resorts in Italy, a new regulation requiring all skiers to wear helmets comes into force. Until now, this requirement applied only to children and teenagers, but from this season it also applies to adults.
This is a significant change that is intended to improve safety on the slopes and reduce the number of serious head injuries, which, according to Italian statistics, were most common among adult skiers.
The Italian authorities have announced that the regulations will be strictly enforced. Skiing without a helmet will result in a fine of €150 and even the confiscation of your ski pass.
