In six months, chocolate worth AED 165 million was sold at Dubai Airport.

In the first half of 2025 alone, travelers leaving Dubai bought chocolate worth a record AED 165 million. Dubai Duty Free statistics show that sweets have become a must-have souvenir from a trip to the United Arab Emirates.

According to the latest data, over 2.5 million chocolate bars were sold at Dubai airport between January and June this year. This means that tens of thousands of sweet treats disappeared from the shelves every day. As representatives of Dubai Duty Free emphasize, chocolate is literally disappearing from the shelves, which only confirms its enormous popularity among travelers from all over the world.

Local chocolate brands from the United Arab Emirates are very popular at Dubai Airport. Among the best-selling brands are L'ocali, FIX, Bateel, Al Nassma, Samha, and chocolates bearing the “I Love Dubai” logo. These are the ones that most often find their way into passengers' suitcases as a sweet souvenir of their vacation or a gift for loved ones.
