Turkish Airlines has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Turkish airline owns an amazing record: it is the airline that flies to the most countries in the world.
Airlines like to present themselves with all sorts of statistics. Emirates and Qatar Airways have repeatedly used the slogan ‘best airline in the world’ in their advertising. Turkish Airlines boasts another amazing statistic. Turkish Airlines has flown to the most countries in the world of all airline operators since 2012. Now this record has been officially entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
The official certificate confirming the record in the Guinness Book of World Records was presented to Turkish Airlines representatives after the premiere landing at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago de Chile, the capital of Chile. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Turkish Airlines currently flies to 120 countries, making them the undisputed record holders. The airline believes their record is even more impressive with flights to 131 countries, including previously unaccounted-for Chile and routes temporarily suspended.
