Wizz Air will fly three times a week from Rzeszów to Rome

- We are pleased with the Hungarian carrier's decision to launch an additional rotation on this popular direction. As a result, it gives our passengers more options in planning their stay in the Italian capital. It is certainly also positive information for all pilgrims planning to go to Rome and the Vatican and participate in the upcoming celebrations of the Jubilee Year, which has been a great event of spiritual and social significance in the life of the Catholic Church for centuries - says Adam Hamryszczak, President of the Management Board of Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport named after the Ulma family.

Flights from Jasionka take place on Tuesdays at 10.10 a.m., Thursdays at 3.05 p.m. and Saturdays at 9.55 p.m., while from Italy's largest airport Rome-Fiumicino - on Tuesdays at 7.25 a.m., Thursdays at 12.20 p.m. and Saturdays at 7.10 p.m. Tickets at the best prices are available at wizzair.com.

The Jubilee Year, also known as the Holy Year, is celebrated by the Catholic Church every 25 years and has a special religious significance. The Jubilee will be inaugurated with the solemn opening of the Holy Door in the Vatican Basilica on 24 December 2024 and will be closed on 6 January 2026. Special services, audiences and celebrations are organised during the Jubilee Year, attracting millions of the faithful.
