Poznań Airport to open a temporary passport collection point

It can happen to anyone, even a very careful traveller, to lose their passport or miss the expiry date of a document. Fortunately, this is not the end of the world these days. At four Polish airports, you can obtain a temporary passport in just a few minutes: in Warsaw (Chopin Airport), Gdańsk, Kraków and Katowice. This year, the 5th airport will be joined by another, and a temporary passport point will be opened at Poznań airport.

Point for making out temporary passports in Poznań-Ławica

A temporary passport making point at Poznań airport is to be established for the summer holidays of 2025. It will be located in the public area of Poznań Airport and will allow temporary passports to be made out in a matter of minutes. Each case of applying for a temporary passport at airport points is considered on a case-by-case basis, but according to Polish government websites, a temporary passport can be made when a person:

• lost his/her identity document entitling him/her to make the planned trip before departure,
   
• forgot to bring the identity document required for the planned trip,
   
• prior to departure, realises that the identity document in his/her possession is no longer valid or its validity is too short for travelling to the given country,
   
• has a valid airline ticket for travel abroad. 

Please note that not every country can be flown into on a temporary passport. The fee for issuing a temporary passport at Poznań airport will be the same as at other airports - PLN 30.
