Etihad Rail, a passenger rail project in the United Arab Emirates, will officially launch in 2026. The rail network will connect 11 cities in all seven emirates.
One of the most eagerly awaited projects in the United Arab Emirates will soon be operational. Eitihad Rail, a project to build a passenger railway in the United Arab Emirates, is set to launch in 2026. The passenger railway project will connect 11 cities in all 7 emirates and significantly reduce travel times across the UAE.
The government of the United Arab Emirates has revealed that the Etihad Rail project will begin operations in 2026. The tracks are already in place, but at the moment only passenger traffic is running on them. Passenger trains will be able to carry up to 400 passengers in economy and business class and reach speeds of up to 200 km/h. The total length of the railway network will exceed 900 kilometres.
