An increase in the price of train tickets to Kraków Airport came into effect on 15 January. Now, a journey from Kraków Główny to the Kraków Airport stop will cost 20 PLN for a one-way normal ticket - instead of 17 PLN.
Getting to the airport, the most expensive in Poland, will become even more expensive. On 15 January, an increase in ticket prices on Małopolska Railway trains on the route to Krakow airport came into force. Instead of 17 PLN, passengers will now pay 20 PLN for a one-way normal ticket for the route from Krakow Główna to the Krakow Airport terminal station. After the increase, a student ticket will cost PLN 9.80 and a student ticket PLN 12.60. There will be an increase in the price of a ticket from Krakow Airport to Wieliczka - for a normal one-way ticket you will pay 24 PLN, for a student ticket 11.76 PLN and for a student ticket 15.12 PLN.
A PLN 3 increase in the price of a normal ticket to Krakow Airport only increases the already very high tax for travel to Krakow Airport. For example: Krakow's Transport Platform - PKK on Facebook has calculated that a resident of Warsaw will pay PLN 4.40 to travel to their city's airport, PLN 5.50 to Gdansk and PLN 4 to Rzeszow. These are definitely smaller amounts than those passengers in Krakow have to pay.
