Emirates signed in Dubai two memorandums of strategic agreement with two Vietnamese airlines: Vietnam Airlines and VietJet. The contracts aim to increase the volume and convenience of travel between Dubai and Saigon and Hanoi.
On 28 October 2024, at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai, Emirates airlines signed two important memorandums of understanding with Vietnamese carriers: Vietnam Airlines and VietJet. This happened during the Vietnam - United Arab Emirates business forum. The strategic agreements were signed by Emirates Vice President Adnan Kazim and representatives from the Vietnamese side.
The memoranda signed with Vietnamese airlines by Emirates aim to set out a framework to expand existing cooperation, increase the number of routes from Dubai to major Vietnamese cities (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi), link airline loyalty benefits with each other and start talks on cooperation in cargo flights.
