Dubai will be home to the second tallest skyscraper in the world!
Dubai has announced details of the Burj Azizi skyscraper, which will become the second tallest building in the world. Construction began in January this year, although the developer did not initially reveal the full height of the building while waiting for approval from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Azizi Developments announced that the height of the skyscraper will be 725 metres.
The Burj Azizi, which is being built on Sheikh Zayed Road in the prestigious World Trade Centre district, will tower over surrounding buildings and become one of Dubai's symbols. Despite its enormous scale, it will be 103 metres lower than the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, which rises to 828 metres. In contrast, the new skyscraper will overtake the world's second tallest building, Merdeka 118 in Malaysia, which measures 674 metres.
The spectacular project, which will cost more than 6 billion dirhams, offers not only height but also luxury. The 131-storey Burj Azizi will feature exclusive flats, a luxurious seven-star hotel consisting solely of flats, and a vertical shopping mall spanning seven floors. With this diverse range of offerings, Burj Azizi is set to become a destination that will attract both investors and luxury lifestyle enthusiasts.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2028, while sales of flats are expected to begin as early as February 2025.
