German airline Condor has increased the dimensions for hand luggage and personal items, and will raise the weight limits for checked-in luggage next year.
Travellers are absolutely delighted with these changes. Unlike most other airlines worldwide, the German carrier has decided not to reduce its baggage size and weight limits, but to increase them. What are the details? From 1 May 2026, passengers can already take advantage of the new rules regarding the dimensions of hand luggage and personal items: the maximum dimensions for hand luggage will be 55 x 40 x 23 cm, and for personal items (in all fare classes) 40 x 30 x 15 cm. The next changes come into effect on 1 May 2027: the weight limits for checked-in luggage will increase; in Economy Class (depending on the fare) 1 suitcase up to 23kg instead of 20kg, in Premium Economy 1 suitcase up to 32kg instead of 25kg, and in Business Class 2 suitcases up to 32kg instead of 30kg.
