Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new route from Poland. The Hungarian airline's planes will fly from Krakow to Budapest at the end of April, with four flights a week.

The new connection from Poland to the Hungarian capital will start on April 29. Wizz Air will fly from Krakow to Budapest four times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. According to the schedule, the flight will take 1 hour and 10 minutes, which is most likely a generous estimate – the actual time spent in the air will be a maximum of 50 minutes. The route is seasonal and will operate until October 23.

Tickets for the new route can already be purchased on the Wizz Air website and from agents. At the moment, the cost of a round-trip ticket is approximately PLN 178 with carry-on luggage. The launch of this route comes as quite a surprise, as Krakow and Budapest are only about 400 kilometers apart by land, and the cities are connected not only by coach services, such as Flixbus, but also by the PKP Intercity railway line. However, Wizz Air is focusing on air travel and intends to capture the market with attractive flight times and days, competitive prices, and reduced travel time.
