Ras Al Khaimah kicked off 2026 in spectacular fashion with a 15-minute New Year's show featuring drones and fireworks that made history. The emirate set a new Guinness World Record for the largest aerial phoenix display created by drones, attracting worldwide attention.
The New Year celebrations in Ras Al Khaimah once again confirmed the emirate's ambitions to create events on a global scale. The combination of advanced drone technology and spectacular fireworks turned the night sky above the emirate's waterfront into a true light show.
The centerpiece of the celebrations was a large-scale drone show that transformed the night sky into a series of animated formations. The main attraction was a phoenix – a mythical symbol of renewal and rebirth – created with the participation of as many as 2,300 drones. It was this impressive formation that secured Ras Al Khaimah a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
Among the devices used were 1,000 pyrotechnic drones that illuminated the phoenix's wings, creating a spectacular flame effect. The synchronization of light, movement, and music made the show a delight for both residents and tourists alike.
