This is a unique distinction for Poland. Krakow took first place in the ranking of the cleanest cities in the world, ahead of such metropolises as Singapore and cities in the United Arab Emirates. The ranking was based on thousands of opinions from tourists from around the globe.
The ranking was prepared by Radical Storage, analyzing the Top 100 City Destinations ranking and over 70,000 Google reviews on the level of cleanliness in cities around the world. The actual experiences of tourists and residents were taken into account, not just statistical data.
The capital of Małopolska left its competitors in the dust. Of the more than 450 reviews of Krakow, 98.5% were positive, securing the city first place in the global ranking. This is proof of the local government's effective actions and the growing environmental awareness of its residents.
Krakow was followed closely by Sharjah, a city in the United Arab Emirates, which received 98% favorable ratings. Third place went to Singapore with a score of 97.9%. Warsaw also achieved a very good result, taking fourth place in the ranking. This is another sign that Polish cities are increasingly appreciated by foreign tourists for their aesthetics, order, and comfort of travel.
