Fans of Italian culture have something to celebrate – Wizz Air is planning to launch a new seasonal connection from Katowice to picturesque Comiso in southern Sicily.
Comiso is a charming little town located in the Ragusa region of southern Sicily. Known for its Baroque architecture and peaceful atmosphere, it is an excellent base for exploring the less frequented corners of the island.
According to the local Italian website Nuovo Sud, Wizz Air has won the tender to operate new flights from Comiso. The route to Katowice is among those selected. Flights are scheduled to start in the summer of 2026 and will operate twice a week.
Comiso and its surroundings offer not only sunny beaches, but also historical monuments, local vineyards and authentic Sicilian cuisine. Thanks to the new connection with Katowice, travelling will become even easier and more accessible.
