The Hungarian airline is expanding its network of flights from Poland with another route to sunny Sicily. Wizz Air will launch a route from Wrocław to Catania, the capital of the eastern part of the island.
Flights to the island of pistachios, lemons and granita will operate from 30 March 2026 with a frequency of two flights a week: on Mondays and Fridays. The one-way flight will take 2 hours and 35 minutes. Planes will take off from the capital of Lower Silesia at 7:45 p.m. and land in Sicily at 10:20 p.m. The return flight is scheduled to depart at 10:55 p.m. and land in Poland at 1:30 a.m. the following day. The new Friday-Monday route from Wrocław to Catania is an ideal opportunity to plan a city break in Sicily.
The new route from Wrocław to Catania is a great opportunity for passengers from Wrocław and the surrounding area to take a trip to Sicily. This unique Italian island combines beautiful beaches and landscapes with wonderful local cuisine, such as arancini. When visiting Catania, it is worth exploring the surrounding towns, such as Taormina, Syracuse and Noto, as well as taking a trip to Palermo or renting a car and touring the whole of Sicily.
