Over 65,000 properties available for rent to tourists on Airbnb are to be removed, according to a decision by the Spanish consumer affairs agency.
According to the latest information from the Reuters news agency, up to 65,000 flats rented on Airbnb may disappear in Spain. Why? This decision was made by the Spanish consumer affairs authority. The authority argues that property owners are breaking the law: the most common complaints are that they don't have a valid licence and don't say whether the flat is rented by a company or an individual. Airbnb hasn't commented on the decision to remove 65,000 properties from the site.
