The Cambodian government expects its new, largest airport to open in July 2025, serving the capital Phnom Penh.
Representatives of the construction of the new airport in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh have told the media that they expect the airport to open as early as July this year, writes independent.co.uk. The new airport in Phnom Penh, officially called Techo International Airport, has been under construction since 2019 and is a huge project and a symbol of hope for the return of international tourism and business to Cambodia, as these sectors have suffered greatly during the coronavirus pandemic. The airport was designed by the British firm Foster + Partners.
