Madeira increasingly popular among Poles
Madeira is experiencing another tourist success. In 2024, the island was visited by nearly 2.5 million tourists, which means an increase of 6.2% compared to the previous year. The Portuguese archipelago in the Atlantic is attracting more and more travellers, including Poles, who are increasingly choosing Madeira as their holiday destination.

According to data from the Regional Statistical Office of Madeira (DREM), in 2024 the island was visited by over 139,000 tourists from Poland, which represents an increase of 18% year on year. Such a dynamic growth placed Poland in fourth place among the most important source markets for Madeira. Only Germany, the United Kingdom and France were ahead of us.
Polish tourists accounted for 7 percent of all foreign visitors, which confirms the growing popularity of Madeira among travellers from the Vistula River. The island attracts them not only with its mild climate all year round, but also with its spectacular landscapes, a wide range of activities and a well-developed tourist infrastructure.
