Gdańsk Istanbul flights PLL LOT

What a news from Gdańsk! LOT Polish Airlines has announced the launch of a new route from Gdańsk to Istanbul. The first flight will take off on 14 January 2026.

The long-awaited connection for passengers flying from Gdańsk has finally become a reality. LOT Polish Airlines will launch a route between Gdańsk and Istanbul. Flights to Turkey's largest city from northern Poland will commence on 14 January 2026. The connection will be operated by the Polish national airline with a frequency of four flights per week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flights will be operated by Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

The new route from Gdańsk to Istanbul, a fascinating city at the crossroads of cultures, is not only an opportunity to visit historical monuments such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque and try delicious Turkish cuisine, but also a historic moment due to the codeshare agreement between LOT and Turkish Airlines: passengers flying with LOT from Gdańsk to Istanbul will be able to transfer on a single ticket and continue their journey with Turkish Airlines to any part of the world.

"The launch of a direct flight between Gdańsk and Istanbul is a great day for Gdańsk Airport and the result of many years of excellent cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines and excellent relations with Turkish Airlines. Istanbul is not only an attractive tourist destination, but also a strategic business, cultural and logistics centre connecting Europe and Asia. This gives Gdańsk a gateway to the East and direct access to the second largest airport in Europe and the seventh largest hub in the world. The new LOT connection, in cooperation with Turkish Airlines, gives our passengers access to the Turkish airline's extensive network. This significantly increases the attractiveness of Gdańsk on the international transport and economic map. I would like to thank the many people of good will from Poland and Turkey who have put a lot of work and effort into launching this connection. It has been our dream for many years, and now it has come true," said Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdańsk.
