Ethiopian Airlines, the national carrier of Ethiopia, has announced plans to double the number of flights from Warsaw to Addis Ababa in the coming summer season. This is a significant step in developing the airline's presence in the Polish market.
Ethiopian Airlines intends to operate six flights a week from Warsaw to Addis Ababa during the 2024 summer season, a significant increase from the current three flights a week. The additional flights are in response to growing demand for travel between Central and Eastern Europe and East Africa.
Currently, all flights on this route are non-stop to Vienna, allowing for convenient transfers at one of the carrier's major hubs. Ethiopian Airlines operates the route with modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which offer high comfort in both economy and business class.
The doubling of the number of flights between Warsaw and Addis Ababa is aimed not only at strengthening tourism and business relations between Poland and Ethiopia, but also at providing passengers from Poland with greater access to the carrier's extensive network of connections across the African continent.
