The United Arab Emirates has once again confirmed its strong position on the international stage. In 2026, the UAE was recognised as the most trusted government in the world, taking first place in the Edelman Trust Index 2026, compiled by New York-based Edelman.
The Edelman Trust Index 2026 ranking places the United Arab Emirates at the top of the global list of countries in terms of public trust in government. This distinction highlights the country's effective governance, high level of transparency and efficient delivery of public services, which have for years built a positive image of the Emirates in the eyes of its citizens and the international community.
As the authors of the report emphasise, trust is not built overnight. It is the result of many years of work based on credibility, keeping promises, the legality of achievements, the integrity of the law and respect for people. It is these elements that have been identified as the foundation of the UAE's success in the global ranking.
