Air Congo, the national airline of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is launching a direct route from Kinshasa, the country’s capital, to Brussels.
This will be the first European route for the new national carrier from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which has been operating since 2024. Air Congo’s route from one of Africa’s largest countries to the Belgian capital will launch on 1 July. Flights from Kinshasa to Brussels will operate five times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with return flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The route will be operated using a Dreamliner leased from Ethiopian Airlines, according to pasażer.com. Why? At present, Air Congo does not have aircraft capable of flying such long distances non-stop. Flights to one of Europe’s most important capitals offer a window on the world for residents and businesspeople from the DR Congo, as well as opening up the local market to travellers from across Europe.
