Within just two hours of receiving a report of a burglary, Dubai police arrested two masked perpetrators who stole AED 660,000 from a supermarket in the Bur Dubai area. Thanks to the use of artificial intelligence and rapid cooperation between units, the entire stolen amount was recovered.
The two suspects broke into a large supermarket through the back door, using sharp tools to break through the security measures. The thieves opened four cash boxes, from which they took a total of AED 60,000, and then gained access to the main safe, where another AED 600,000 was stored. After the theft, they disappeared without a trace.
Dubai police used artificial intelligence tools and data analysis to quickly identify the perpetrators and track their movements after they fled the scene. Working with the General Department of Airport Security, officers tracked down the suspects just before their planned departure from the country. The thieves were arrested at the airport just before departure, and the entire stolen amount—AED 660,000—was recovered in full.
