Ryanair will increase the size of free hand luggage. In a few weeks, the dimensions of luggage included in the basic ticket price will change from 40x25x20 cm to 40x30x20 cm.
Great news for passengers across Europe! According to the British newspaper The Independent, in a few weeks, Ryanair will increase the capacity of its free hand luggage that passengers can bring on board at no extra cost. As confirmed by an airline spokesperson in an interview with the newspaper, special size checkers with the new dimensions will appear at airports in the near future. What will they look like after the changes? Instead of 40x25x20 cm, every Ryanair passenger will be able to bring luggage measuring 40x30x20 cm on board the aircraft at no extra cost.
The changes are expected to translate into an additional 4 litres of luggage capacity, depending on whether we take a suitcase, backpack or bag with us. This is undoubtedly a change for the better and an attempt to get ahead of the European Union, which has recently been trying to pass legislation on free additional hand luggage in addition to personal items on all airlines in Europe.
