The Philippine national airline is set to launch a new route, one of the longest in the world. Philippine Airlines will connect the Philippine capital, Manila, with Chicago in the United States.

On 9 November 2026, a new route will be launched, immediately joining the list of the world’s longest flights. Philippine Airlines, the national airline of the Philippines, will fly from Manila, the country’s capital, to Chicago. The flight to Lake Michigan in Illinois covers over 13,000 kilometres, which the aircraft will cover in an average of over 15.5 hours. Flights will operate three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The airline will fly to Chicago from the Philippine capital using Airbus A350s. Passengers can expect a long but comfortable flight with a high standard of service and a generous baggage allowance.
