Wizz Air has announced a significant change to its in-flight services. From 1 April 2025, all transactions on board will be cashless. Passengers will be able to pay with payment cards and use popular mobile payment systems.
Travellers on board Wizz Air will be able to pay for snacks, drinks and other services using VISA and Mastercard – both debit and credit. Another new feature is the option to pay with Revolut cards, which expands the available payment options for passengers. In addition, the carrier is introducing support for Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Android Pay and Google Pay, which will allow for fast and convenient payments from smartphones.
The decision to switch completely to cashless payments is aimed at improving service on board and increasing transaction security. Thanks to the new payment methods, travellers will not have to worry about having the right currency or storing cash during the flight. The change will take effect on 1 April 2025 and will cover all routes operated by Wizz Air.
